Social Plastic

Meaning and goal of the integration project: to develop this interpersonal state (liquid) in the course of the project into a crystalline (cognitive) one. The  disabled and non-disabled get to know and appreciate each other in the project. Disability  not matter any more , it is forgotten.

Inge Müller "Weiberbrigade" served as a model. Women in so called  Real Socialism get, since the men are sick,
the opportunity to prove themselves on heavy machinery such as excavators and cranes. It is a simple model: the disabled  take on the role of woman and non-disabled  those of men who are overloaded with prejudices.

It worked well for a while - but then it came to a rebellion: The young wanted to play their own „lyrics“ explained the teenagers. Okay, I pretended to agree. "Next time bring an own text", I suggested. I was sure they wouldn't deliver.

But I had misjudged myself. Next meeting they delivered stuff like: Bullying at school, conflicts with parents,
love stories…. We  tried to implement it  and the young developed an enthusiasm and imagination that went
hand in hand with an acting vitality that I could not have imagined before. They placed the wholeness of
their senses in the figures, so to speak with skin and hair. A young woman delivered  a fantasy novel. She wanted
to stage it. What a venture but we did it!   The amazing thing was : everyone could name the fantasy characters
and knew about their role. Personally, I'd never heard about. A few months later – by chance I met some in city train. “We founded a theatre group“, they told  me full of enthusiasm and now in summer they would  travel together
to the Mecklenburg lake district during the holidays to  rehearse  a play. What more could you want!
